The Future of CR4ZY League of Legends

Dec 14, 2020

It’s been a while since we had any major updates for you guys. This past year has been challenging for everyone. Now, as we get closer to the beginning of 2021, we decided to shed some light on our future plans.

CR4ZY LoL in 2021

CR4ZY will compete in the next season of Esports Balkan League that is starting in late January, 2021. We will try to focus on building a new team from young prospective players, instead of bringing in accomplished stars. The reason behind this decision being a scarcity of revenue opportunities in EBL and regional esports as a whole, especially now in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, and the desire to focus on projects we believe offer more stability and opportunities. That being said, we still consider League of Legends one of the most promising disciplines in the region.

Aleksa “DoubleAiM” Stanković was a crucial part of CR4ZY League of Legends operations ever since he joined the company. Because of the change of direction he also had some choices to make. He will be able to explore opportunities in other teams. We at CR4ZY are very grateful for everything he did wearing our colors, in and outside of the game, and we will do everything in our power to help him find a new home. He has also agreed to help us put together a team in the meanwhile.

Grassroot esports for long-term success

After several meetings with management and investors we decided to focus on a couple of projects that have been in the works for some time now. Nothing to worry about, rather the opposite! We at CR4ZY strongly believe that they are necessary to elevate esports in the region and bring it closer to reaching the next level. These projects will revolve more around the grassroot scene of amateur and semi-professional players, bringing more stability to everyone, including CR4ZY. We hope that they will be the cornerstone of talent development that will help us win more international trophies with domestic teams!

The roster for the next split will be announced by the 22nd of December, while you’ll get to hear more about the previously mentioned projects at the beginning of next year. Regional esports will stay the primary goal in all our future endeavors. Stay safe, and we wish you all the best during the upcoming holiday season while we work on popping off in 2021.
